When a creator is connected to your campaign, the branded content permission is arranged automatically in the platform. You do not request it separately: when you turn content into ads, the platform requests any creator permissions it needs for you, including in bulk when you select several creators at once. There is no rights issue either: creators agree to the use of their handle for ads when they apply to the campaign and in their contract.
A request that is still waiting on the creator shows a pending status, so you can see what is outstanding without chasing it. If a request fails, the platform retries it and tells you which permissions cannot be requested. Once Meta approves the content, it moves to the ready state on its own.
That permission unlocks three ways to run the ad. You choose which one when you set up the ad in the platform:
Whitelisting. The ad runs through the creator's account. Only the creator is visible as the sender.
Partnership Ad. The ad runs through your brand account and the creator's account together. Both are visible.
Brand only. The content is used as an asset and the ad runs through your own account only. The creator is not visible as the sender.
Permissions are linked to your Instagram account, not your ad account. That matters when you change ad accounts:
New ad account, same Instagram account: your existing creator ad permissions still apply and you can launch ads right away.
New ad account and a new Instagram account: the creator ad permissions have to be set up again on the new Instagram account.
Disconnecting an ad account also removes that account's data from The Cirqle, so export anything you still need first.
Before you can turn content into ads, make sure you have approved The Cirqle's access request to your ad account in Meta Business Manager. If that request is not approved, ad creation fails and the ad cannot run as a Partnership Ad. See Granting ad account permissions in Meta Business Manager.
If a permission is still missing, for example a creator was selected while your ad account had a connection issue, contact us via the chat so we can help.
